Arrival

  • Airport: La Aurora International Airport (GUA)

  • 1.5 hr shuttle transfer to hotel in Antigua Guatemala.

Day 2

CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE

After breakfast at the hotel, you'll start your adventure. We can accommodate two different groups so everyone can do what they like. Most groups prefer to do a morning activity and then after lunch be picked up in the 4x4 shuttles to go up Volcano Acatenango to watch Volcano Fuego erupt from the adventure cabins.

Morning Options

  • Coffee tour through Antigua Guatemala

  • Explore Antigua’s historic streets, markets, and local shopping

  • MTB riding at Carmona Trails

Afternoon Adventure

  • 2 PM 4x4 shuttle experience on Volcán Acatenango with overnight or sunset return options

Full-Day Adventure Options

  • Full-day MTB experience at Carmona Trails

  • Guided ATV tours around Antigua with multiple route options

  • Horseback ride on Volcán Pacaya followed by pizza cooked on the volcanic lava fields

  • 10 AM 4x4 shuttle adventure on Volcán Acatenango with overnight or evening return options

Each experience combines adventure, stunning volcanic landscapes, and authentic Guatemalan culture.

TRANSFER TO TECPAN + IXIMCHE RUINS

Morning | Transfer to Jaay Table in Tecpan, Guatemala

  • Volcano Overnight Group - Sunrise Hike to Fuego & Descent

    Wake early for a guided sunrise hike toward Volcano Fuego for an up-close view of its active eruptions. Return to camp for coffee and breakfast, then descend Acatenango back to the drop-off point by 4x4. If you want to MTB, you'll have the option to MTB down Volcano Acatenango from the adventure cabins (6000ft decent - Black rated trail.)

  • Antigua Group

    You'll enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel and then start your 1.5 hour transfer to Cerro Tecpan where Jaay Table and the Iximche ruins are located.

Mid-morning - Afternoon | Mayan Cuisine & Iximché Ruins

Travel to the town of Tecpán for an authentic Mayan lunch at Jaay Table and the location of the impact project you'll participate in. Continue on to a guided visit of the Iximché Mayan Ruins, a sacred national monument still used by local Mayan communities for ceremonies and offerings.

Evening | Check in to Tecpan Hotel

After soaking in the simplistic way of life at Jaay Table, we'll take to the local hotel, Hotel de Montana, in Tecpan to refresh and relax. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

JAAY TABLE FENCE INSTALLATION | IMPACT PROJECT

Morning | Install Fence at Jaay Table
Work alongside the local community at Jaay Table to help install a new fence supporting the property’s continued growth and sustainability. This hands-on impact project is an opportunity to connect, serve, and leave a lasting contribution behind.

Afternoon | Lunch + Departure for Lake Atitlán
Enjoy a lunch at Jaay Table before beginning the scenic drive toward the breathtaking shores of Lake Atitlán. Along the way, take in Guatemala’s mountain landscapes, colorful villages, and changing scenery.

Evening | Relax at Lake Atitlán
Arrive at Lake Atitlán and settle into the peaceful lakeside atmosphere. Spend the evening unwinding, soaking in the volcano views, and enjoying a slower pace after a meaningful day of impact and travel.

LAKE ATITLAN ADVENTURE DAY

Morning | Choose Your Lake Adventure
Wake up to breathtaking views of Lake Atitlán, framed by the volcanoes Atitlán, Tolimán, and San Pedro. After breakfast, choose how you want to spend the morning:

  • Quetzal birdwatching in the lush highlands

  • Ziplining through the forest canopy with panoramic lake views

  • Paragliding above the lake for an unforgettable aerial perspective

  • Jet skiing and optional cliff jumping for a dose of adrenaline

Afternoon | Lakeside Leisure
Enjoy a relaxed afternoon around the lake—swimming, wandering nearby villages, or soaking in the views at the hotel.

Evening | Rest & Relaxation
Return to the hotel for a laid-back evening. Unwind, enjoy dinner, and take in the sunset over the lake.

LAKE ATITLAN IMMERSION DAY

Morning | Homecooked Breakfast & Optional Massages

Start the morning with a traditional homecooked breakfast overlooking Lake Atitlán. Enjoy a slow pace with free time to relax, take in the lake views, or book an optional massage onsite.

Afternoon | Explore San Juan & Weaving Cooperative

Travel to the colorful town of San Juan to explore local art shops, cafés, and community markets. Visit a traditional weaving cooperative for a demonstration on Mayan weaving techniques and natural dyes, with time to shop for authentic handmade souvenirs.

Evening | Homecooked Mayan Farewell Dinner

Gather for a celebratory final dinner hosted by a local Mayan family, featuring traditional homecooked dishes and meaningful connection around the table as you reflect on the week’s adventures together.
