This Endure Adventures–hosted Peru Impact Expedition is an adventure-forward journey designed for travelers seeking challenge, cultural depth, and immersion in one of the world’s most iconic landscapes. Based in Cusco and the Sacred Valley, this expedition blends high-alpine exploration, ancient Inca routes, and meaningful time in place with intentional pacing and support.
Travelers will hike legendary terrain—including a dedicated day on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu—explore remote valleys, and experience Peru beyond the tourist path. Mountain biking and hiking options are thoughtfully woven into the itinerary, allowing riders and hikers to travel together, with parallel adventure options and shared cultural experiences throughout the journey.

Welcome to Cusco! The Endure Adventures Peru crew will be waiting to greet you at the airport and provide private transportation to your hotel near the city center. After check-in, you’ll have time to relax, freshen up, and prepare your gear for the adventures ahead.
Once settled, we’ll head out to explore Cusco’s vibrant streets and historical sites, taking in the city’s rich Incan and colonial heritage. In the evening, gather with the group for a special welcome dinner, the perfect way to kick off your journey together in the heart of the Andes.

Morning | Visit to Alpaca Farm
Take a scenic shuttle to Huayllarcocha to visit an alpaca farm. Feed, pet, and take photos with the animals, see the Andean condor, and explore a small local museum.

MTB: Shuttled Downhill Ride
Enjoy a shuttled downhill mountain bike ride, descending scenic trails framed by Andean peaks, ancient ruins, and wide valley views. This ride delivers flow, fun, and an unforgettable way to experience the Sacred Valley terrain.
Hike: Secret Inca Trail to Inkilltambo
Follow a little-known Inca trail on a mostly downhill 6 km hike through native forest and farmland. Pass a small lagoon, spot local birds, and see sheep and llamas along the way before arriving at the rarely visited Incan site of Inkilltambo, finishing on the outskirts of Cusco.
Morning | Weaving Co-op Visit
After breakfast, shuttle to Chinchero to visit a local weaving co-op and learn from the region’s most skilled artisans. Browse handmade alpaca textiles and enjoy views from the Raqchi viewpoint before the ride begins.

MTB Option | Ride the Huaynaqolqa Trail
A scenic single-track descent through the Andes. Continue to the Maras Salt Mines for a group visit, then enjoy a buffet lunch at Tunupa before tackling the Misminay Enduro Trail, ending at the Sacred Valley Brewery.
Hike Option | Inca Trail to Poc Poc Waterfall
Continue hiking downhill along the historic trail toward the Sacred Valley floor. Stop at the Poc Poc Waterfall for a refreshing break before completing the 8 km hike, which takes approximately three hours and descends to around 3,000 meters.
Adventure Option | Via Ferrata & Sky Lodge Experience
Drive into the Sacred Valley with stops at a scenic viewpoint and the Maras Salt Mines before arriving at the via ferrata base. Gear up and climb 400 meters up the rock face, taking in incredible valley views along the way. At the top, enjoy a snack before ziplining back down to the valley floor.
Evening | Explore Ollantaytambo
Arrive in Ollantaytambo for hotel check-in and a traditional dinner at Amanto Restaurant, wrapping up a full day of culture and adventure.
Morning – Afternoon | Journey to Machu Picchu
Depart early by train from Ollantaytambo toward Machu Picchu, with two ways to reach the citadel:
Inca Trail Hike – Disembark at Km 104 and hike 12 km (7 miles) to Wiñaywayna, passing Incan sites and waterfalls before arriving at the Sun Gate for your first panoramic view of Machu Picchu.
Explore the Sacred Citadel of Machu Picchu, walking through its temples, terraces, and viewpoints while learning about the history and mystery of the Incan Empire.
Evening | Return to Ollantaytambo
After exploring, take the train back to Ollantaytambo for a relaxing evening and overnight stay.

After breakfast, ride portions of the iconic Inca Avalanche route, a high-altitude downhill with sweeping Andean views. This experience is fully supported and tailored to rider ability.
Hike or Horseback Option | Sun Gate (Inti Punku) Hike
After breakfast, begin a hike (or horseback ride) to the Inti Punku (Sun Gate), a remote and powerful viewpoint high above the Sacred Valley. The climb takes approximately three hours, passing an ancient Inca stone quarry as the landscape opens up to sweeping mountain and valley views.
Afternoon | Journey to Rainbow Mountain
Travel deeper into the Andes with two supported options:
Moto Option: Gear up for a guided off-road dirt bike experience, riding through remote valleys toward Rainbow Mountain, with plenty of stops and support along the way.
Shuttle Option: Ride comfortably in the support vehicle, taking in the scenery before meeting the group at Rainbow Mountain to enjoy its striking natural colors and panoramic views.
Evening | Camp Arrival & Relaxation
Arrive at base camp to a hot meal, campfire, and star-filled skies, closing the day with rest, connection, and a shared sense of accomplishment.
Morning | Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Experience
Begin the day with a scenic hike or moto-shuttle ride to Rainbow Mountain, allowing everyone to experience this iconic landscape. Take time to explore, walk the ridgelines, and enjoy the sweeping views of Rainbow Mountain and the Red Valley.
Hike | Rainbow Mountain Viewpoint
After camping overnight at the Rainbow Mountain parking area, hike ~1.5 hours to the summit viewpoint. The trail climbs gently through high-altitude terrain, offering sweeping views of the surrounding valleys and the mountain’s iconic colorful ridges.
Moto-Shuttle | Rainbow Mountain Viewpoint
After overnight camping at the Rainbow Mountain parking area, set out on a guided moto-shuttle adventure toward the summit viewpoint. Ride on dirt trails through high-altitude valleys with sweeping Andean views,
MTB | Rainbow Mountain Downhill
For those who opt in, enjoy a guided downhill mountain bike ride from high in the Red Valley, descending scree slopes toward the valley floor at a pace matched to rider comfort.
Afternoon | Impact Service Project
Rainbow Mountain is in a very remote location and currently has no bathroom facilities for travelers or locals. Locals charge a small fee for use, creating a modest income stream for the community. As part of this trip, the crew will help construct a new facility to support both visitors and locals.
Evening | Camp & Relaxation
Return to base camp for a hot meal, campfire, and star-filled skies, closing the day with rest, connection, and a shared sense of accomplishment.
Morning | Drive to the Andes
After breakfast, depart Rainbow Mountain to Pacchanta, the gateway to Ausangate Mountain — Cusco’s highest glacier at 6,300 meters. Take in views of the Andes as the landscape transforms from rolling valleys to snow-capped peaks.
Early Afternoon | Hike or Horseback to the Seven Lagoons
Begin your guided hike or horseback ride through stunning high-altitude terrain. Pass herds of llamas, cross colorful valleys, and visit the seven turquoise lagoons surrounded by the towering Ausangate range. Enjoy a picnic lunch amid breathtaking scenery before looping back toward Pacchanta.
Late Afternoon | Hot Springs & Return to Cusco
Unwind in the natural hot springs of Pacchanta, soaking in panoramic mountain views. After relaxing, return to Cusco for the evening, closing your first full day in Peru with unforgettable memories of the Andes.
Depending on your departure time, meals and entertainment will be arranged prior to your departure time if necessary. The Endure Adventures Peru shuttle will drop you off at the airport 2 hours prior to your departure time.
